− | A '''level''' is a elevation-measuring unit in Minecraft. The distance between two levels is equal to one block tall (the distance-measuring unit). It is a common usage to say Level 0 is where one would find the deepest layer of bedrock. This means a player can only stand on level 1 and higher. |

In Seecret Friday Update 7, Notch implemented Storage Minecarts. See the Minecart article for information on standard minecarts.
Crafting
A Storage Minecart is crafted from a Chest and a Minecart, as shown below:
Ingredients | Input » Output |
---|---|
Chest + Minecart | Template:Crafting grid |
Breaking a storage minecart will drop an empty cart and a single chest, as well as all of its contents. Since crafting a storage minecart only requires two crafting spaces, it can be easily broken and re-crafted without a Workbench.
Usage
- Storage minecarts can be accessed by right-clicking. The interface is the same as a regular chest. It is not possible to ride a storage minecart.
Trivia
- Storage and powered minecarts are the first crafted items created from two separate crafted items.
- Minecarts were originally storage only, and did not require a chest being added.
