This article is about the item. For the block, see Melon (Block).

A melon.

Melon are items dropped by Melon blocks when they are harvested, in groups of 3-7. While a waste, 9 can craft a melon block. Each item restores 1 hunger bar, but little saturation, making them only slightly better than Cookies.

Melons vs. Cookies

  • Restore more saturation
  • Easier to obtain

  • Low saturation
  • Low hunger restoration
  • Harder to obtain

  • Made in batches of 8
  • Semi-renewable

  • Lower saturation
  • Low hunger restoration

  • Melons and Glistering Melons are turned different ways.
  • When you break a melon block, they would not drop nine pieces of melon so it is not recommended to store melons by crafting blocks.
  • You can't *de-craft* a melon like a diamond block into nine diamonds.
